There used to be a little synagoge with a little street next to it, the project defines the street again, the house surrounds the street, enables to see the rest of the synagoge, connects the daily use with the temporary, brings up the socialistic courtyard
Mikulov is bound up with Jewish history. I chose a dysfunctional place with unexploided potential and historical context for my project. I tried to create a house a form of which could supplement and return the original character of the Jewish build-up area, supported social and cultural life and improved the neighbourghood. I picked up the threads of Dolní synogogue and tried to renew public life on Lazéňské squere and Templová street. I started with the historical context and present state of the neighbourhood, so I chose to create a Jewish center with a nursery. The all rooms of the building are linked and can be connected in various ways ti support one or the other function of the building.
