The modernisation of the railway system causes optimalisation, that has a big influence especially on the regional rails. Due to the modernisation of the railway system in Czech republic, the rails are being optimalised. The optimalisation causes, especially in the small regions, a minimal use of the former railway stations. Their state is dismal and the future uncertain. Some of the objects are already ruined, the others are being slowly devastated.
The goal of the diploma is to map the current state of the railway buildings and to find a conceptual solution for their future. It is based on the contrast between the city and land, the landscape, the rail and the line passing through the country.
